Painting Trees
Sunday, October 27
10-4 pm EST @Townsend Atelier
Instructor: Ann Currey
Join us for two concentrated one-day workshops focusing on two elements that are essential to creating strong landscape paintings–clouds and trees. Clouds have captured our imagination since childhood. They are messengers of hope, mystery, weather, and blessed shade. Learn about the basic nature of clouds in this one day class. We will paint clouds but may not get a full painting however we will have plenty of practice painting clouds.
Trees John Carlson says about trees, “ Every tree has a personality, and possess, within the limits of its species, a tremendous latitude of expression.” We will examine various trees and find the character and form of the tree in painting it. Since it is a one day class it will be an overview and we will paint lots of trees but may not have a “finished” painting.
Sign up for one or for both! There will be a lunch break each day. Lunch is on your own.

About the Instructor:
Through her grandmother’s influence, Ann has been interested in art from a young age and began painting in 2006 taking a watercolor class. Since her initial class, Ann has been fortunate to study with several notable artists.
