Saturday, January 14
1-5 pm EST
Instructor: Susanne Bowling
ages 8-12 years
Our young artist classes are designed to be fun, age appropriate, and full of meaningful art skills and knowledge. Inspired by the vivid contemporary painting style of UK artist, Michael Craig Martin, students will learn how to paint a modern still life of everyday objects in bold, bright colors. Students will learn how to draw their objects using a technical drawing style onto their canvas panel as well as color theory, lines and composition. If you’re not an expert at drawing this will allow you to have an image you like in a supported way using this drawing technique. Each student will be given 14″x 14″canvas panel and will be using acrylic paint to make their work. They will want to hang it in their room to show all of their friends! All materials are included in the workshop.
What to bring: a smock or old shirt
