Sunday, October 8 10 am-1 pm (follow up session)
in person @Townsend Atelier
Instructor: Marc Boyson
all levels, all media
You have a potpourri of techniques. A plethora of tools and materials. And you draw a blank. Don’t fetter. The subject is in plain sight and this workshop is designed to help you get unstuck, to set goals, to establish a routine, and create artwork that you are proud of. For all levels and ages. Come as you are in your artistic journey.
In this workshop, Marc will guide you on how to develop an idea, generate a routine, solidify your intuition, and to express it into something physical. Make artwork that brings you joy and create a body of work worth bragging about!
Workshop participants will bring up to seven artworks in any media and subject to the workshop. Then, sparked by their collection of works, each member will analyze for themes. Deduce recurrent interests and glean inspiration from their artwork’s topic, material, and technique. Finally, a statement of creating is written from this information gathered through group discussion and individual feedback from Marc.
The second session in October is designed as a follow-up and a check-in on progress of each participant in the setting of their goals.
What to bring:
– Your favorite way to take notes (paper, pen, laptop etc.)
– Up to seven works in any media. If the actual art works are unable to be transported to the workshop, students can email images to us ahead of time and we can work with those.
