10 am-5 pm EST
Instructor: Nicolás Uribe
Limited to 12 students.
We are super excited to have Nicolás Uribe back again for another spectacular online workshop. This 5-day online course will be designed to take advantage of the fact that we are all going to be working from home. Attendees will be painting from photo references that Nicolás will provide, or they can choose to work from their own reference material. Each participant will decide which suits best their painting practice. The idea behind this workshop is to embrace the expressive possibilities inherent to the freedom of interpreting color. Black and White photos will provide us with information regarding value, shapes, form, drawing, and composition. We will construct our daily paintings based on those visual cues, and we will push the way we decide to translate that information into color relationships. The workshop will consist of 5 separate exercises that will be executed in each of the 5 days of the course. Each painting should aim to satisfy the requirements that are proposed for specific daily challenges. We will paint exclusively with a high chroma, primary color palette.
Each day will be comprised of painting demos by Nicolas, tons of time for questions, breaks, and individual critique and feedback. Join us from anywhere EST! The workshop will be recorded and available to all registrants.
