Instructor: Mustafa Ozel
The workshop will begin with theoretical and practical explanations of the basic principles of art followed by the explanation about the development and change of figurative art by giving examples. In the morning, Ozel will begin a figure painting while explaining the importance of composition. In the afternoon, students will begin their own work with plenty of individual instruction from Ozel.

Mustafa Ozel was born in 1961, Turkey. He graduated from Marmara University, AEF Painting Department in 1984 and in the same year, he opened his studio in Maltepe. He worked with Galerie Bernard Desroches in Montreal from 2001 to 2004. He lives in Istanbul and continues to work in his studio in Kadıköy while teaching students of all ages. In his painting, Mustafa Ozel reflects emotions such as pain, joy, resistance and happiness through human bodies and portraits. Instead of instant expressions, his portraits have continuity and experience. He has had This numerous exhibitions in and around Turkey. His latest exhibition was held in Florence, Italy at OnArt Gallery in 2019. Mustafa’s portraits have been selected twice to exhibit at the BP Portrait Awards in London.
