After several years of dreaming and planning, Townsend Atelier has a new home!
We spent 5 wonderful years at our location on Main Street in the heart of Chattanooga’s Southside and are proud to have played a role in the growth and renewal of this now bustling area. Leaving this special neighborhood was a hard thing to do, but we had outgrown our space and needed to spread our wings.
This past October, we moved into our dream space (only a few blocks away) in the freshly renovated Arts Building at 301 East 11th Street. Our local united arts agency, Arts Build, owns the three story building and conducted the renovations. They occupied the top floor along with several other non-profit arts organizations. We love sharing our home with like-minded organizations dedicated to strengthening the arts in our city and the region.
We occupy the main floor which consists of 4,000 square feet of a gorgeous and functional light filled studio for all of our classes as well as a retail store chocked full of paints, canvases, brushes, Sculpt Nouveau patinas, and our own moldmaking materials, including Knead-a-Mold and Brush-a-Mold. Walk-ins are welcome and for those outside of Chattanooga, we still ship nationwide like we always have. We have plenty of free parking for our students and customers and are handicap accessible.
