Due to high-demand,  Kristin Kendall is now offering semi-private lessons for kids ages 11-17 at a discounted rate. Each lesson is in a group setting and includes no more than 4 students at a time.  The lessons will be project-based where each student will be assigned projects customized to their own skill level and goals in mind. Students will work on their customized curriculum while having their own space in Townsend Atelier. Kristin will spend a set amount of time with them with instruction, guidance, critique, etc. seeing them multiple times throughout the hour.  Students will be responsible for supplying their own materials.

Due to lessons being project-based (some of which may take several lessons to complete) requiring students to be self-motivated during independent time, students must be 11-17 years old or in middle school or high school.

Kristin prefers meeting the student once, free of charge, before beginning lessons to gather information about their goals and interests. This helps her plan lessons and projects accordingly. If you are a new student, you will be contacted after checkout to arrange a short meeting.

About the Instructor:
Kristin Kendall (b.1986) is a progressive, internationally recognized artist whose primary objective is creating realistic representations of the human figure. Her formal training comes from Carson Newman University where she earned her B.A. in Art in 2008. Eventually realizing her skill should be shared, she received her certification to teach art from Lincoln Memorial University in 2011. Kristin fulfills her passion for capturing the likeness and essence of people by commissioning portraits. She is a member of the Portrait Society of America through which her work has been internationally recognized and continues to disclose her art on local, regional, and national levels through exhibits and competitions.  The unique combination of her natural creativity, formal training in design, and fascination for architecture have influenced her art with imagination, detail, and precision. Her work speaks for itself, capturing the simplicity and refinement of everyday life.
