Instructor:  Bruno Poço
All levels are welcome!

This one-day workshop will introduce students of all levels to the versatile and satisfying technique of drypoint etching.  The drypoint technique is a useful stepping stone to traditional etching. Students will produce their own drypoint images and learn a variety of simple techniques to produce beautiful prints using our printmaking press. This class is also a good way to learn about preparing the paper for printing, inking plates consistently and printing an edition.

Materials:
Students should bring a reference drawing/design/image or idea from which to use for their etching.  Students will be etching on an 8.5″ x 11″ plate, so choose image/design accordingly.  If you do not have an image or design, we will have some reference images on hand for you to use.  All materials included with the exception of printing paper which we will have available for purchase.
